Darrian Kendall didn’t begin his career with the ambition of being recognized as a global digital leader. Kendall entered the professional graphics world with only the knowledge he had acquired through self-study and practical drafting experience in college; launching his career at the turn of the millennium.
Despite the stability of his early roles, Kendall found the work unchallenging and saw limited opportunity for long-term growth. Determined to avoid stagnation, he began exploring emerging digital opportunities in the early 2000s—dabbling with web design and development based on a dare from a local pastor friend. Soon, other churches heard about Kendall’s new side gig and came asking for help boosting their church growth. With those changes came more small businesses’ looking for online visibility. “All of a sudden, I had an accidental agency,” he says.
Today, Darrian Kendall serves as the owner of not only Kendall Conexion, but also he is the founder and CEO of the North Texas Advocacy Group, a victim crime service agency, as well as co-founder of the WBT Foundation, a non-profit agency that supports those who cannot afford proper medical care. What began as a small, almost accidental digital agency has since grown into a recognized leader in the digital marketing space. That evolution was anything but linear. Kendall navigated the company through the complex realities of scaling, maintaining quality across distributed teams, and continuously adapting to emerging technologies—including the rise of artificial intelligence—making strategic decisions that transformed early challenges into long-term advantages.
Darrian Kendall's journey is a solid reminder that running an agency and serving clients isn’t just about keeping up with the latest trends or tools. It’s about thinking ahead and making smart, strategic decisions.
